[227] Let them bring water, unguent for the feet, and a seat of great price; I shall release from the cage Dhataraṭṭha the glorious — and that general too, the wise, the subtle, the thinker upon what is good, who is happy in the king's happiness and suffers when he suffers. One such as this indeed is worthy to eat the food of his master, even as this Sumukha is to the king a friend who shares his very life.
