[229] Having seen the choicest [food] that had been brought, sent by the King of Kāsi, he who was skilled in the customs of the khattiyas (khattadhamma) thereupon asked straightaway: "Is it well with your honor? Is your honor free from affliction? Do you govern this prosperous realm with righteousness?"
