[270] For while I stood attending upon the fire-oblation (aggihutta), and upon the Light-maker, supreme dispeller of the world's darkness, was it Vāsava, who surpasses all beings, or who indeed, that has laid sudhā (ambrosia) in my palms? Like a conch shell, white, incomparable to behold, pure, sweetly fragrant, lovely of form, marvelous, never before seen by my eyes since first they were born — what deity has laid sudhā in my palms?
