Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Jātaka (2) · Vol. 28 · Section 768

[768] He who made this world and the world beyond, the Bhāgīrathī, Himavant, and Vijjha — the most excellent of devas, possessed of power, glorious — even he at that time kindled Jātaveda, the fire. Mālāgiri, Himavant, and Vijjha, Sudassana, Nisabha, Kākaveru — these and other great mountains, so they say, were piled up as altar-piles by the performers of sacrifice.
