Candakumārajātaka

[831] When Khaṇḍahāla and the king heard that, and beheld this marvel, they loosed the bonds of all, in such a way that no harm was done to them. When all had been fully set free, then all who were gathered there at that time each threw a single clod of earth — such was the slaying of Khaṇḍahāla.
