[833] When all had been set free, those who were gathered there at that time —
the king's men, gathered together, consecrated Canda [as king];
when all had been set free, those women who were gathered there at that time —
the royal maidens, gathered together, consecrated Canda.
When all had been set free, those who were gathered there at that time —
the male devas, gathered together, consecrated Canda;
when all had been set free, those women who were gathered there at that time —
the deva maidens, gathered together, consecrated Canda.
When all had been set free, those who were gathered there at that time —
the king's men, gathered together, waved their garments aloft;
when all had been set free, those women who were gathered there at that time —
the royal maidens, gathered together, waved their garments aloft.
When all had been set free, those who were gathered there at that time —
the male devas, gathered together, waved their garments aloft;
when all had been set free, those women who were gathered there at that time —
the deva maidens, gathered together, waved their garments aloft.
When all had been set free, many were filled with joy;
they gave voice to their rejoicing at the entry into the city,
and release from bondage was proclaimed.
