[837] Having heard the words of Sunāma, Vijaya said this: "All sensual pleasures (kāmā), great king, stand ever ready in your service; these are not hard for you to come by, sire, that you might delight in sensual pleasures — pleasures may be had at any time. But this is not the thought of my mind (citta). Let us rather attend upon an ascetic (samaṇa) or a brahmin of great learning, a sage (isi) who knows the meaning and the Dhamma, who this day would dispel our doubt."
