[838] Having heard the words of Vijaya, King Aṅgati said: "As Vijaya speaks, that pleases me too. Let us attend upon an ascetic (samaṇa) or a brahmin (brāhmaṇa) of great learning, a seer (isi) who knows the meaning and the Dhamma, who today would dispel our doubt. All of you here present, deliver your opinion: upon which wise man (paṇḍita) shall we attend — a seer who knows the meaning and the Dhamma, who today would dispel our doubt?"
