[924] Behold, at the arched gateways and along the roads, the many flocks of birds of every kind: geese (haṃsa), cranes (koñca), and peacocks (mayūra), ruddy geese (cakkavāka) and kukkuha birds. Many variegated kuṇāla cuckoos, crested pheasants (sikhaṇḍī), and jīvajīvaka birds— behold [the city] fashioned in this gem, thronged with flocks of birds of every kind.
