[136] **"By what could anyone here in the world conceive him?"** — *Conceivings (kappā)*: there are two conceivings — conceiving through craving (taṇhā) and conceiving through view (diṭṭhi) … this is conceiving through craving … this is conceiving through view. For him conceiving through craving has been abandoned, conceiving through view has been relinquished. Because conceiving through craving has been abandoned and conceiving through view relinquished, by what lust (rāga) could one conceive him? By what hatred (dosa) could one conceive him? By what delusion (moha) could one conceive him? By what conceit (māna) could one conceive him? By what view could one conceive him? By what restlessness (uddhacca) could one conceive him? By what doubt (vicikicchā) could one conceive him? By what latent tendencies (anusaya) could one conceive him — as "lustful," or "hating," or "deluded," or "bound," or "grasping," or "gone to distraction," or "come to no conclusion," or "gone to obstinacy"? Those volitional formations (abhisaṅkhāra) have been abandoned. Because the volitional formations have been abandoned, by what could one conceive his destinations (gati) — as "a hell-being," or "one belonging to the animal realm," or "one belonging to the realm of hungry ghosts," or "a human," or "a deva," or "one having form," or "formless," or "percipient," or "non-percipient," or "neither-percipient-nor-non-percipient"? That cause does not exist, there is no condition, there is no reason, by which one might conceive him, might construe him, might come to construal. **"In the world"**: in the world of states of loss, the world of humans, the world of devas, the world of the aggregates (khandha), the world of the elements (dhātu), the world of the sense bases (āyatana). Thus: "By what could anyone here in the world conceive him?" Therefore the Blessed One said:
He, rid of the army amid all dhammas (dhamma),
with regard to whatever is seen, heard, or sensed —
that very seer, faring with openness:
by what could anyone here in the world conceive him?
