[154] **"He sees all else as inferior"** means: he sees, perceives, looks upon, contemplates, and examines another teacher, another exposition of the Dhamma, another group, another view (diṭṭhi), another practice (paṭipadā), another path — as inferior, as low, as deficient, as vile, as paltry, as trifling [1]. Thus, "he sees all else as inferior." Therefore the Blessed One said:
Whatever advantage (ānisaṃsa) a person sees in himself —
in what is seen, in what is heard, in virtue and vows (sīlavata), or in what is sensed —
having tightly grasped just that right there,
he sees all else as inferior.
