[202] **Those people, both seen and heard of** — **seen** means those who are apprehended through eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa). **Heard of** means those who are apprehended through ear-consciousness (sotaviññāṇa). **Those people** means khattiyas, brāhmaṇas, vessas, and suddas, householders and those gone forth, devas and humans. Hence, "those people, both seen and heard of."
