A lotus-leaf (padumapatta) is called a "lotus leaf" (pokkhara). Just as a drop of water does not stick, does not adhere, does not cling to a lotus leaf — being unstuck, unadhered, unclinging — hence, "as a drop of water on a lotus leaf."
