[220] The cleansed one (dhono) does not conceive by means of these— namely, in what is seen, what is heard, or in things sensed;¹ he does not desire purity through anything else, for he neither becomes impassioned nor dispassioned. ¹ [Footnote in source at this point:] #1 The Burmese (M.) and European (Yu.) editions read: *padumapupphaṃ*.
