[284] **"They say that his doctrine is deficient" (yamassa vādaṃ parihīnamāhu):** they speak thus, talk thus, say thus, explain thus, and declare thus of his doctrine (vāda) — that it is inferior, low, deficient, diminished, not complete. Hence, "they say that his doctrine is deficient."
