[314] **"Not clashing view with views" (diṭṭhīhi diṭṭhiṃ avirujjhamānā):** the sixty-two speculative views (diṭṭhigata) of theirs have been abandoned, cut off, stilled, tranquilized, rendered incapable of arising again, burned up by the fire of knowledge (ñāṇa). They, not clashing view with views, not being struck against, not being impeded, not being crushed — thus, "not clashing view with views." [Editorial footnote in source, ¹: the Burmese (M.) edition reads *labhetha* — a variant belonging to the preceding passage.]
