[319] **Thinking upon views with the mind (manasā diṭṭhigatāni cintayanto):** "Mind" (mano) is that which is mind (citta), mentality (mano), the mental (mānasa), the heart (hadaya), the lucid (paṇḍara), mind (mano), the mind sense base (manāyatana), the mind faculty (manindriya), consciousness (viññāṇa), the aggregate of consciousness (viññāṇakkhandha), the mind-consciousness element born of that (tajjā manoviññāṇadhātu). Thinking, pondering upon views with the mind (citta): "The world is eternal," or "the world is not eternal," … or "the Tathāgata neither exists nor does not exist after death" — thus he is "thinking upon views with the mind."
