[352] **He who conceives himself equal, superior, or inferior — he would dispute on that account**: whoever conceives "I am equal," or "I am superior," or "I am inferior" — he, on account of that conceit (māna), on account of that view (diṭṭhi), or with that person, would create a quarrel, create contention, create a dispute, create an argument, create strife: "You do not understand this Dhamma and Discipline; I understand this Dhamma and Discipline. How could you understand this Dhamma and Discipline? You are practicing wrongly; I am practicing rightly. What I say is coherent; what you say is incoherent. What should have been said first you said last; what should have been said last you said first. What you had so thoroughly rehearsed has been overturned. A charge has been laid against your doctrine. You stand refuted. Go about to rescue your doctrine, or extricate yourself if you are able." Therefore it is said: **He who conceives himself equal, superior, or inferior — he would dispute on that account.**
