[355] **"What would that brahmin say is true?"** (*saccanti so brāhmaṇo kiṃ vadeyyā*): **"Brahmin"** (*brāhmaṇa*): one is a brahmin because of having banished the seven dhammas … "unattached (*anissita*), such a one (*tādī*) — he is called *brahmā*." Hence: "What would that brahmin say is true?"
**"What would he say?"** (*kiṃ vadeyya*): "The world is eternal; this alone is true, anything else is vain" — what would the brahmin say, what would he speak, what would he utter, what would he explain, what would he express? "The world is not eternal … the Tathāgata after death neither is nor is not; this alone is true, anything else is vain" — what would the brahmin say, what would he speak, what would he utter, what would he explain, what would he express? Hence: "What would that brahmin say is true?"
