[385] **"Not trembling" (asantāsī):** here a certain one is fearful, terrified, frightened. He trembles, is terrified, is frightened, becomes afraid, and falls into trepidation, thinking: "I do not gain a family, or I do not gain a group, or I do not gain a dwelling, or I do not gain gain, or I do not gain fame, or I do not gain praise, or I do not gain pleasure, or I do not gain robes, or I do not gain almsfood, or I do not gain lodging, or I do not gain medicinal requisites for the sick, or I do not gain an attendant in sickness — I am unknown." Thus he trembles, is terrified, is frightened, becomes afraid, and falls into trepidation. Here a bhikkhu is not trembling, not terrified, not frightened. He does not tremble, is not terrified, is not frightened, does not become afraid, and does not fall into trepidation, thinking: "I do not gain a family, or I do not gain a group, or I do not gain a dwelling, or I do not gain gain, or I do not gain fame, or I do not gain praise, or I do not gain pleasure, or I do not gain robes, or I do not gain almsfood, or I do not gain lodging, or I do not gain medicinal requisites for the sick, or I do not gain an attendant in sickness — I am unknown."
