[464] **Anger, false speech, and doubt:** "Anger" (kodha) is whatever resentment (āghāta) of the mind (citta), hostility (paṭighāta), repulsion (paṭigha), antagonism (paṭivirodha), irritation (kopa), indignation (pakopa), thorough indignation (sampakopa), hatred (dosa), animosity (padosa), thorough animosity (sampadosa), malevolence of the mind (byāpatti), mental spite (manopadosa); anger (kodha), being angered (kujjhanā), the state of being angered (kujjhitatta); hatred (dosa), hating (dussanā), the state of hating (dussitatta); ill will (byāpatti), turning to ill will (byāpajjanā), the state of ill will (byāpajjitatta); opposition (virodha), antagonism (paṭivirodha); ferocity (caṇḍikka), abruptness of speech (assuropa), displeasure of the mind (anattamanatā cittassa). "False speech" (mosavajja) is what is called lying speech (musāvāda). "Doubt" (kathaṃkathā) is what is called doubt (vicikicchā). Hence, "anger, false speech, and doubt."
