[552] **They themselves proclaim various truths** (nānā te saccāni sayaṃ thunanti): they themselves proclaim, say, speak, utter, explain, and express various truths. "The world is eternal; this alone is true, anything else is vain" — thus they themselves proclaim, say, speak, utter, explain, and express. "The world is not eternal …" … "The Tathāgata neither exists nor does not exist after death; this alone is true, anything else is vain" — thus they themselves proclaim, say, speak, utter, explain, and express. Therefore it is said: "They themselves proclaim various truths."
