[571] **"He disparages another and speaks in just the same way"**: he does not honour (another) — thus he disparages another. Or else, he generates grief (domanassa) — thus he disparages another. **"And speaks in just the same way"**: he speaks of that very (mis)held view (diṭṭhigata) in just the same way: "Thus this person is one of wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi), one of distorted vision" — thus "he disparages another and speaks in just the same way." Therefore the Blessed One said:
By the very reason for which he judges another to be "a fool,"
by that same reason he declares himself to be "skilled";
he, proclaiming himself skilled by his own account,
disparages another and speaks in just the same way.
