[570] **He himself proclaims that he is skilled (sayamattanā so kusalovadāno)**: he himself, of his own accord, proclaims himself skilled (kusalavāda), proclaims himself a wise man (paṇḍitavāda), proclaims himself a sage (dhīravāda), proclaims himself one possessed of knowledge (ñāṇa) (ñāṇavāda), proclaims himself one who speaks with reasons (hetuvāda), one who speaks in terms of characteristics (lakkhaṇavāda), one who speaks with grounds (kāraṇavāda), one who speaks with a basis (ṭhānavāda) — according to his own doctrine (laddhi). Therefore: "he himself proclaims that he is skilled."
