[569] **"And thereby he speaks of himself as skilled":** "Ātumā" is a term for the self (attā). He too, for that very reason, by that condition, by that cause, by that source, speaks of himself thus: "I am skilled, learned, wise, intelligent, possessed of knowledge (ñāṇa), discerning, sagacious." Therefore it is said, "and thereby he speaks of himself as skilled."
