Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Mahāniddesa · Vol. 29 · Section 585

[585] **For they are enamored with passion for their own view (sandiṭṭhirāgena hi tyābhirattā):** they are impassioned, thoroughly enamored, with passion (rāga) for their own view (diṭṭhi); thus, "for they are enamored with passion for their own view." Hence the Blessed One said: Those who proclaim a dhamma other than this have failed of purity; they are incomplete. [Variant note: 1. The Yu (European) edition reads *suddhimakevalīno*. 2. There is also the reading *ñāyāparaddhā*.] Thus too the sectarians (titthiyā) speak in various ways, for they are enamored with passion for their own view.
