[584] **Thus too the sectarians speak diversely (evampi titthyā puthuso vadanti):** a view (diṭṭhigata) is called a "ford" (tittha). Those given to views (diṭṭhigatikā) are called sectarians (titthiyā). By diverse views they speak, tell, utter, explain, and declare diverse views; thus too the sectarians speak diversely.
