Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Mahāniddesa · Vol. 29 · Section 604

[604] **Or they also gain praise therein (atho pasaṃsampi labhanti tattha):** therein — on account of their own view (diṭṭhi), their own acceptance (khanti), their own preference (ruci), their own doctrine (laddhi) — they gain, obtain, attain, and find praise, extolling, fame, and the spreading abroad of their renown. Hence, "or they also gain praise therein." Therefore that created Buddha (nimmita) said: Whosoever these may be who abide settled in views and proclaim, "This alone is truth" — all of them draw blame upon themselves, or they also gain praise therein.
