[613] *Anūpayo so upayaṃ kimeyya* — "He who is without attachment — to what attachment could he go?" **Attachment (upaya):** there are two attachments — attachment through craving (taṇhā) (taṇhūpaya) and attachment through views (diṭṭhūpaya) … This is attachment through craving … This is attachment through views. For him, attachment through craving has been abandoned; attachment through views has been relinquished. Because attachment through craving has been abandoned, because attachment through views has been relinquished, what form (rūpa) would the person without attachment approach, go to, grasp, adhere to, or insist upon as "this is my self"? What feeling (vedanā), what perception (saññā), what volitional formations (saṅkhārā), what consciousness (viññāṇa), what destination (gati), what rebirth (upapatti), what re-linking (paṭisandhi), what existence (bhava), what saṃsāra, what round (vaṭṭa) would he approach, go to, grasp, adhere to, or insist upon? Therefore it is said: "He who is without attachment — to what attachment could he go?"
