[672] **"Or, having seen, will know only those" (disvāna vāññassati tānimeva):** "Having seen" means: having seen with the knowledge of others' minds (paracittañāṇa), or having seen with the knowledge of recollection of past abodes (pubbenivāsānussatiñāṇa), or having seen with the fleshly eye (maṃsacakkhu), or having seen with the divine eye (dibbacakkhu) — having seen only name-and-form (nāmarūpa), one will know it as permanent, as pleasant, as self; one will not know the origin, or the passing away, or the gratification (assāda), or the danger (ādīnava), or the escape (nissaraṇa) of those dhammas. Hence, "or, having seen, will know only those."
