[676] **"And one who speaks from entrenched views is indeed not easy to guide" (nivissavādī na hi subbināyo):** One who speaks from entrenched views (nivissavādī) says, "The world is eternal; only this is true, anything else is wrong" — thus he is one who speaks from entrenched views. "The world is not eternal" … "The Tathāgata neither exists nor does not exist after death; only this is true, anything else is wrong" — thus he is one who speaks from entrenched views.
**"Is indeed not easy to guide":** one who speaks from entrenched views is hard to guide, hard to bring to knowledge, hard to bring to reflection, hard to bring to examination, hard to inspire with confidence. Hence: "and one who speaks from entrenched views is indeed not easy to guide."
