[79] **For as one would know, so one would speak:** as one would know, so one would speak, tell, utter, explain, express. As one would know "The world is eternal; this alone is true, the other is vain," so one would speak, tell, utter, explain, express. As one would know "The world is not eternal … the Tathāgata after death neither exists nor does not exist; this alone is true, the other is vain," so one would speak, tell, utter, explain, express. Thus: "For as one would know, so one would speak." Therefore the Blessed One said:
For how could one go beyond one's own view,
when led on by desire, settled in one's own preference?
Making his views complete by himself,
as he would know, so would he speak.
