[799] **The whole world is without core (samantamasāro loko):** the world of hell (niraya), the world of the animal realm (tiracchānayoni), the world of the realm of hungry ghosts (pittivisaya), the world of humans, the world of devas, the world of the aggregates (khandha), the world of the elements (dhātu), the world of the sense bases (āyatana), this world, the other world, together with the Brahmā world and together with the deva world — this is called "the world."
The world of hell is without core, coreless, bereft of core — in respect of any core consisting of a core of permanence, a core of happiness, or a core of self; in respect of anything permanent, stable, eternal, or of a nature not to change. The world of the animal realm, the world of the realm of hungry ghosts, the world of humans, the world of devas, the world of the aggregates, the world of the elements, the world of the sense bases, this world, the other world, together with the Brahmā world and together with the deva world, is without core, coreless, bereft of core — in respect of any core consisting of a core of permanence, a core of happiness, or a core of self; in respect of anything permanent, stable, eternal, or of a nature not to change.
