[871] **"Being asked about one who is unwavering, I declare that benefit"** means: being asked, questioned, begged, requested, and entreated about the unwavering person, I declare these four benefits (ānisaṃsa) — I say, I explain … I make known that "such a one is not envious (aniṭṭhurī), not greedy, unstirred, everywhere the same." Therefore it is said: "Being asked about one who is unwavering, I declare that benefit." Hence the Blessed One said:
Not envious, not greedy,
unstirred, everywhere the same —
being asked about one who is unwavering,
I declare that benefit.
