[876] **He sees security (khema) everywhere** — greed is a maker of peril, hatred is a maker of peril, delusion is a maker of peril … the defilements (kilesa) are makers of peril. Because peril-making greed has been abandoned … because the peril-making defilements have been abandoned, he sees security everywhere; he sees the absence of peril everywhere; he sees the absence of calamity everywhere; he sees the absence of misfortune everywhere; he sees the absence of oppression everywhere; he sees tranquility (passaddhi) everywhere — thus, "he sees security everywhere." Therefore the Blessed One said:
For one unstirred, who understands,
there is no accumulation (nisaṅkhiti) whatsoever;
refraining from instigation (viyārambha),
he sees security everywhere.
