[263] When it is the same spread and cover (attharaṇa-pāpuraṇa), and they perceive it as the same spread and cover, and they lie down together (tuvaṭṭenti): an offense of pācittiya. When it is the same spread and cover, and they are in doubt, and they lie down together: an offense of pācittiya. When it is the same spread and cover, and they perceive it as different spreads and covers, and they lie down together: an offense of pācittiya.
With the same spread but different covers: an offense of dukkaṭa. With different spreads but the same cover: an offense of dukkaṭa. When they are different spreads and covers, and they perceive them as the same spread and cover: an offense of dukkaṭa. When they are different spreads and covers, and they are in doubt: an offense of dukkaṭa. When they are different spreads and covers, and they perceive them as different spreads and covers: no offense.
