[287] **"Whatever"** (*yā pana*): whoever, of whatever sort … **"Bhikkhunī"**: … this is the bhikkhunī intended in this sense.
**"Outside the realm"** (*tirorāṭṭha*): in the realm of another, apart from that realm in whose dominion she dwells.
**"Risky"** (*sāsaṅka*) means: on that road a place where thieves have encamped is seen, a place where they have eaten is seen, a place where they have stood is seen, a place where they have sat is seen, a place where they have lain down is seen.
**"Dangerous"** (*sappaṭibhaya*) means: on that road people killed by thieves are seen, people plundered are seen, people beaten are seen.
**"Without a caravan"** (*asatthikā*) means: apart from a caravan.
**"Should go wandering"** (*cārikaṃ careyya*): among villages within a cock's flight of one another, for each interval between villages there is an offense of pācittiya. In a wilderness without villages, for every half-yojana there is an offense of pācittiya.
