Saṅghādisessikkhābada

[78] **"And bhikkhunīs" (bhikkhuniyo paneva):** this is said of those who are fully ordained. **"They dwell in company" (saṃsaṭṭhā viharanti)** [2]: they dwell in company through unbecoming bodily and verbal (association) [3]. **"Of evil conduct" (pāpācārā):** possessed of evil conduct. **"Of evil reputation" (pāpasaddā):** notorious through an evil report of renown. **"Of evil renown" (pāpasilokā):** they make their living by an evil wrong livelihood. **"Harassers of the bhikkhunī Saṅgha" (bhikkhunīsaṅghassa vihesikā):** when a formal act (kamma) is being carried out against one of their number [1], they protest against it. **"Concealers of one another's faults" (aññamaññissā vajjapaṭicchādikā):** they conceal one another's faults. --- [1] The Burmese (Ma.) and European (Yu.) editions read: "vajjapaṭicchādikāti."
