[144] **"For whom there is no perturbation anywhere in the world" (yassiñjitaṃ natthi kuhiñci loke):** "For whom" (yassa): for the Arahant whose taints (āsava) are destroyed. "Perturbation" (iñjitaṃ): perturbation due to craving (taṇhā), perturbation due to view (diṭṭhi), perturbation due to defilements (kilesa), perturbation due to conceit (māna), perturbation due to kamma. For whom these perturbations do not exist, are not found, are not apprehended — being abandoned, cut off, stilled, tranquilized, rendered incapable of arising again, burnt up by the fire of knowledge (ñāṇa).
"Anywhere" (kuhiñci): anywhere, in anything, in any place — internally, or externally, or both internally and externally.
"In the world" (loke): in the world of the states of loss and woe (apāya) … in the world of the sense bases (āyatana). Hence, "for whom there is no perturbation anywhere in the world."
