[174] **Yaṃ viditvā sato caraṃ** ("which having understood, one wanders mindful"): having made it known, having weighed it, having judged it, having made it clear, having made it evident — that is, having made it known, having weighed it, having judged it, having made it clear, having made it evident that "all conditioned things (saṅkhārā) are impermanent" … "whatever is subject to origination, all that is subject to cessation."
**Sato** ("mindful"): one is mindful for four reasons: one is mindful as one developing the establishment of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) that consists in contemplating the body in the body … he is called one who is mindful.
**Caraṃ** ("wandering"): going, roaming, moving about, proceeding, maintaining oneself, keeping oneself going, sustaining oneself. Hence: "which having understood, one wanders mindful (yaṃ viditvā sato caraṃ)."
