[21] In Sāvatthī, in the royal palace of Kosala, [dwells] the Conqueror (jina), of abundant wisdom, of excellent, earth-vast intelligence; he, the son of the Sakyas, peerless, free from taints (āsava), #1 M: pathavimaṇḍale; Sī: puthavimaṇḍale. #2 M: sabbakammakkhayaṃ. #3 M: passemu. #4 M: sabbattha dvipaduttamaṃ. the bull among men, is the knower of the head-splitting (muddhādhipāta).
