[216] **"I revere you, O All-Seeing One" (taṃ taṃ namassāmi samantacakkhu):** "You" (taṃ) — he speaks of the Blessed One.
**"I revere" (namassāmi):** I revere with the body, I revere with speech, I revere with the mind (citta); I revere by practice that conforms to the goal (anvatthapaṭipatti), or I revere by practice of the Dhamma in accordance with the Dhamma (dhammānudhammapaṭipatti); I honor, respect, esteem, and venerate.
**"O All-Seeing One" (samantacakkhu):** "All-Seeing" is a designation for omniscient knowledge (sabbaññutañāṇa). The Blessed One is endowed, fully endowed, come to, fully come to, arrived at, fully arrived at, and possessed of that omniscient knowledge.
There is nothing here unseen by him,
nor anything unknown that cannot be known;
all that is knowable he has directly known —
therefore the Tathāgata is the All-Seeing One.
Hence: "I revere you, O All-Seeing One."
