[220] **Doubting anyone in the world, Dhotaka (kathaṅkathiṃ dhotaka kañci loke)** means: a person who doubts — one with uncertainty, wavering, of two minds, possessed of doubt (vicikicchā).
**Anyone (kañci)** means: anyone — whether a khattiya, a brāhmaṇa, a vessa, a sudda, a householder or one gone forth, a deva or a human being.
**In the world (loke)** means: in the world of the states of loss (apāyaloka) … in the world of the sense bases (āyatana). Hence: "doubting anyone in the world, Dhotaka."
