[255] **"Resolved upon the supreme among the perception-liberations" (saññāvimokkhe parame'dhimutto):** the seven perception-attainments (saññāsamāpatti) are called perception-liberations (saññāvimokkha). Among those perception-attainments, the attainment of the sphere of nothingness (ākiñcaññāyatanasamāpatti) is, of the liberations (vimokkha), the foremost, the best, the most distinguished, the chief, the highest, and the most excellent. He is resolved, through the liberation of resolve (adhimuttivimokkha), upon that supreme one — the foremost, the best, the most distinguished, the chief, the highest, the most excellent; he is resolved upon that, intent upon that, given to that conduct, abounding in that, giving weight to that, inclining toward that, leaning toward that, sloping toward that, with that as his dominant influence. Therefore it is said: "resolved upon the supreme among the perception-liberations."
