[299] **Ye keci** ("whatever"): all by all reckoning, all in every way, without remainder, without residue — this "ye keci" is an expression of complete inclusion. **Samaṇā** ("ascetics"): whoever, outside of this [Dispensation], have gone forth into the going forth and have entered upon the state of wanderers. **Brāhmaṇā** ("brahmins"): whoever are "sayers of bho" (bhovādika). Hence: "whatever ascetics and brahmins here."
**"Nanda," said the Blessed One (Nandāti Bhagavā)**: the Blessed One addresses that brahmin by name, "Nanda." **Bhagavā**: this is a term of reverence … a designation verified in reality (sacchikā paññatti), namely "Bhagavā." Hence: "'Nanda,' said the Blessed One."
