[330] **"I did not delight in that"** means: I did not find, did not attain, did not obtain — therefore, "I did not delight in that." Hence that brahmin said: Those who in the past explained things to me (thus said the venerable Hemaka) apart from the teaching of Gotama, saying, "So it was, so it will be" — all that is hearsay (itihītiha), all that merely increases speculation: I did not delight in that.
