Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Cūḷaniddesa · Vol. 30 · Section 358

[358] **"Is he one possessed of wisdom, or does he form constructs by wisdom?"** — **"He is one possessed of wisdom (paññāṇavā so)"**: he is wise, possessing wisdom, intelligent, endowed with knowledge (ñāṇa), discerning, sagacious. **"Or does he form constructs by wisdom (uda paññakappī)"**: or does he, by the knowledge of the eight attainments (samāpatti), or by the knowledge of the five superknowledges (abhiññā), or by wrong knowledge (micchāñāṇa), form a construct of craving (taṇhā) or a construct of view (diṭṭhi) — generate it, engender it, produce it, bring it forth? Therefore it is said: **"Is he one possessed of wisdom, or does he form constructs by wisdom?"**
