Todeyyamāṇavakapañhānidadesa

[362] **He is without hope, and he does not hope** (nirāsaso so na ca āsasāno): he is without craving (taṇhā), not possessed of craving. He does not hope for form; for sounds, for odours … for dhammas seen, heard, sensed, and to be cognized he does not hope, does not wish, does not delight, does not aspire, does not long, does not yearn. Therefore: "he is without hope, and he does not hope."
