[527] **Seeing humankind overcome by craving (taṇhādhipanne manuje pekkhamāno)** — "Craving (taṇhā)" means: craving for forms (rūpataṇhā), craving for sounds (saddataṇhā), craving for odours (gandhataṇhā), craving for tastes (rasataṇhā), craving for tangibles (phoṭṭhabbataṇhā), craving for mental phenomena (dhammataṇhā).
"Overcome by craving (taṇhādhipanne)": overcome by craving, gone along after craving, overflowed by craving, fallen into craving, overwhelmed, with mind wholly possessed by it.
