[537] If, having understood the meaning and understood the Dhamma of even each single question, one were to practise in accordance with the Dhamma, one would surely go to the far shore of aging and death (jarā-maraṇa). Since "these dhammas lead to the far shore," therefore "Pārāyana" (the Going to the Far Shore) is the very designation of this exposition of the Dhamma.
